Even by itself this is a good card. Throw in the Crown and Sceptre and you have a really nasty set up. Definitely thinking of running up a deck featuring these (I quite like FatLenny's idea of a creatureless white weenie- may have to look into this...)

not at all practical and it won't get any tournament play; but Empire decks are hella fun to play.

I guess you can pair this off with Mentor Of The Meek in order to get searching for your other empire pieces. And/or use Parallel Lives to make it more effective at token generating.

It's a little bit like Elspeth, Knight-Errant. 4 CMC, produces a 1/1 soldier token each turn. Of course, those are the only things those two cards share.

With or without the set, very useful. Start-up is not overly pricey, and it's cheap and easy to produce a legion of chump blockers.

@Ligerman30 except that Bitterblossom is a two mana enchantment.... That gets you faries... And is ridiculously obnoxious. This set of cards is just a little obnoxious and on the whole are not too hard to deal with

I have to totally disagree with Ligerman30, I think this is the kind of card that makes new players want to play M:TG. It is both Timmy and Johnny and so much fun to play in a kitchen table casual environment. Will this card ever be played in a tournament? Probably not, but that is not the point of the card. M:TH is in a game, meant to be played and to have fun doing it.

"Good to see that they anticipated the potential of this cycle to be broken by ___ at tournaments. Legacy tournaments. Unglued/Unhinged Legacy tournaments. Yeah..."

Oh please. Liquimetal Coating anyone?

With some luck the mana curve fits perfects for T3 assembly with Urza Lands. Example:

T1: Urza's Mine
T2: Urza's Tower, Crown of Empires
T3: Urza's Power Plant Scepter of Empires, Throne of Empires

Done in {G} you can use Ancient Stirrings and Crop Rotation to make this more reliable. That makes it so every one of your Forests has the potential to be the Urza land you need and ancient stirrings has a high liklihood of fetching one of these 6 cards.

Using Explore in the same deck should help, as should expedition map. Be flavorful and protect your empire with Tangle Wire and add some smokestacks to your powerplant.

Feel free to add another throne (of geth) to control your recent additions.
