If the damn tree starts seeing play, this guy's going to be tech against it. One Frosty can keep two of them locked down at once on your turn, which keeps them from blocking and from healing your opponent.

Ratchet Bomb would work well too, but it also wouldn't be swinging for 6 every turn.

Great titan, shame on anyone for underestimating it.

This thing is good against every other titan. Except for enter the battlefield abilities all you have to do with this is swing and even sun titan can't stop it for two turns. sure it isn't as capable at removal or dealing damage as the others but this card is an excellent form of control that is also troublesome to remove.

Why does this Titan have the worst rating out of the cycle? Perhaps players are giving him the
..cold shoulder

I too wish it was tapping 2 permanents per turn; in large part due to Frost Breath
My melvin is a little sad.

I personally really like this Titan, his lock down effect is amazing and he makes a removal spell more expensive to play on him. If he had Hexproof then I think he'd be way too powerful.

Hexproof would be way too strong, but paying an extra 2 is a really weak primary effect, even with the Mana Leak trick. If you wait until turn 8 to drop the Titan with counter mana up, your opponent won't have a problem paying 5 on top of the 1Black they payed for Doom Blade. The effect should have required paying an extra 3 and it'd be perfectly balanced.

As for it's main ability, it's true that Frost Titan trumps all others in 1v1 combat (strangely off-flavor for blue) but the fact remains that it's the only Titan that doesn't generate card advantage in any form. As it is now, it just enters the battlefield and eats a 3Black Doom Blade or 2White Swords to Plowshares while the other Titans burn a few dudes, make a few dudes, grab some utility lands, or revive a Knight of the Reliquary before bitting the bullet. When this guy dies, he leaves you with... a permanent tapped for one... (see all)
