Flavor text is great. Beyond that, not much.

Honestly, the flavor text seems more like something on a red card, but it's neat, so whatevs.

I guess the kept the awesome Ravnica flavor-text writer around to do core set gigs periodically.

An infrequent Fallen Empires core set reprint, in Modern. Just like Goblin Grenade.

Seems pretty solid for limited environments. I can definitely imagine that ability being absolutely nuts in limited if it were cheaper. "Hurr hurr, all my creatures have shade! -- have fun with your combat math!"

As it is, it's probably not ultra-amazing, but I would imagine that it was playable in some moderately aggressive decks in limited. Also, I don't really think comparison with things like Blessing is very apt, because the priest here can pump ANY of your creatures, which can really mess with the opponent's combat-math in an environment where going into the red-zone is important (like in limited). Just the threat of activation forces an opponent to block and attack more conservatively, which sometimes gives your creatures pseudo-evasion. He's also another dude on your team who can block and beat, which is nice, even if the 1/1 body is underwhelming.
