Black was always related to haste a bit, at least certainly when regarding reanimation effects.
Although since some of them only kept the creature for one turn giving haste was uncircumventable.
Yet there are also some exceptions which simply just have haste like Spirit of the Night and Crazed Skirge.
In the end i like black haste, but overall it's still weird imagining this as a monocolored black card...or is it just me?
But apparently Wizards lately thinks it sort of suits to black, as shown again by Crypt Ripper, being the latest "unconditional haste" creature besides Deepcavern Imp, Mirri the Cursed, Demigod of Revenge and Frogtosser Banneret. (The latter two both having some red flavor in particular)
