Situational? You do not have this in the right deck. Expensive? It's a Control Magic that can be retargeted. For three mana. Compared to Dominating Licid, looks pretty cheap to me. Fragile? Learn to use counterspells. It may as well cost 1{U}{U}{U}{U} and have shroud. And if you're out of counters, it's always drawing removal away from your islandwalkers. In a certain deck, this is the biggest threat. And that deck has Rite of Replication. Yes, six of these things is a terrible thing to behold. And if you doubt I've ever pulled that off, High Tide.

What the heck?! No one mentioned you can untap her at instant speed and redo her ability as many times as you like on the stack before it "counts".

I.E. if you have untappers, in response to her tapping you untap her, and retap her, and untap her. Her abilities resolve and she's still tapped so steals as many creatures as times you untapped.

Call that a bad card I call you a big newb :s.

Pemmin's Aura and this = Game.

Actually no, refer to the last ruling. This guys ability is constantly checked, and the moment he becomes untapped you lose control of the creature.

I don't see what's so bad about this card. It's an uncommon that can take control of a card and only requires 3 mana to cast (plus 1 turn unless has haste). Play something like Aqueduct's Will or Spreading Seas and have a sacrifice outlet out as well.

Here, i'll even do a play by play:
T1: Island.
T2: Island, Spreading Seas to screw with their land.
T3: Swamp, Seasinger.
T4: Bloodthrone Vampire/Vampire Aristocrat. Use Seasinger, and sacrifice controlled creature to Vampire before end of opponent's turn. Congratulations, you've locked down your opponent unless they have removal spells.

I still use the seasinger cause she's one of the origional creature control cards... Just need a set of something like Wispersilk Cloak/ Neurok Stealthsuit/ Robe of Mirrors and you're all set XD
And a set of SEA'S CLAIM ofcourse!

People always have creatures at the very least can use this to slow them down and stop a attack or 2

btw aquitects will is good but it only makes it an island in addition to the other type and i know in my deck i like to make there lands islands to mana screw as well as islandwalk so personally i prefer sea's claim

Way to fragile, expensive, and situational to ever be really useful.
