Little on pricy side, which is prevailing problem with the Dark.

Expensive, but could be used in various ways to keep multiple creatures from untapping. Might have some potential in large Commander games, where you could act as a puppet-master, deciding who gets to untap which creatures each turn.

I think I'd prefer Azorius Guildmage in any white deck, but this has applications in taking the effect to decks that need the protection but don't run the right colours.

My views on the effectiveness of this one may be shaped by my early experiences with it--my uncle had a red/green deck that used things like this and Singing Tree to great effect in clogging up the board...
