Within the context of the deck, this is godly.
Keeping a dragon from eating your face is amazing, especially late game with Voltaic Key.

This, Lifelink, and Archdemon of Greed (from Dark Ascension) could be a very powerful combo in a black/white deck.

What versatility!
Sure you can hold down an oppoent's creatures, and tap your own hateflayer, but you can also untap your mother of runes and other creatures that you want to tap more than once.
And it is freakin' colorless. It's amazing how often that matters.
