Didn't have Equipment when WotC made Nemesis, so they had to make this an Enchant Creature. One of several Enchantments that just seem more like Artifacts.

I prefer chimney imp. But seriously, you are just asking for card advantage, and even if they don't remove it, it's not like you got a real advantage out of getting a stupid first strike creature.
