I didn't see any uses for this card outside of Falkenrath Aristocrat. It seems I was very short sighted.

Why wasn't this ever played in top tier Blood Artist decks? The swing for three, gain three, lose three for 3cmc on turn three seems pretty insanely powerful (and three oriented. Maybe Jim Carrey could star in a movie about it).

What confuses me is that they aren't exiled, but sacrificed at end of turn. What's the flavor on that? After the revolt's over, do they go off and kill each other? :Ia

"The thatchers are revolting!"
"Yes, yes they are."

They revolt for one turn, then die.
I'm sure that's going to achieve something great here.

Very reminiscent of Waylay. The creatures are smaller, but that's because the waylay tokens were never meant to be used on offense.

Moxxy: I think the flavor is that these guys are farmers, they can only revolt only so long before they have to return home to the fields for harvest. I'm not going to go into a history lecture but back in the day before permanant/professional armies, the army could only fight in the summer after the crops had been sown and before cultivation. So Innistrad has this Midievel times/ Dark Ages feel to it, so yeah, it should make sense. (after Rome fell it would be years before nations in Europe would have enough money and resources to field a regular army)

I don't understand the flavor of them dying at the end of the turn. Did they just give up their revolt? Do they fall on their pitchforks?

You don't even get to keep the tokens. Also it's a sorcery so no combat tricks. 2/5
