Eh, I don't think Strangleroot Geist entirely obsoletes this. Different shenanigans can make both of these cards abusable in their own way. If you tried using Hell's Caretaker with a Young Wolf, for example, that wouldn't go over as well. Same goes for if you tried to use something like Cauldron of Souls on this. Although I guess that would still work kind of well...

I used to love playing this card, but now we have Strangleroot Geist. Oh well, I suppose this is more splashable, and more... feline.

Now that we have innistad, we get cards like Young Wolf and Strangleroot Geist that make this obsolete. Still, the penumbra cycle used to be awesome. I remember my Penumbra Wurm/Hell's Caretaker/Jugan, the Rising Star deck. Now that was fun.
