Expensive... but that's one brutal ability. True Conviction, and something like Angelic Renewal if you're feeling rude, can help him really go to town.

Nothing special but not bad. 8 mana for a 6/6 is horrible but its ability can finish the game for you or clean the field.

I could be wrong about this, but since sacrificing is part of the cost wouldnt Spirit Loop be in your hand by the time the damage ability goes on the stack and do nothing?

Autoinclude? I'd consider it for a Mayael deck or a giant-themed Brion Stoutarm deck but that's about it. Then again, most of my red decks are funny aggro land destruct make-em-rage.
