Shattering Spree is fine in a heavy red deck, but if you are running red with black or blue, your options are more limited, and this is fine. Also in singleton formats redundancy is never a bad thing.

3 mana to destroy one artifact, 5 to destroy 2, and 7 to destroy 3? I just don't know. in commander, maybe.
Rack and Ruin should make it in before this though.
