@InternetNinjacy Also, the +0/+2 comes in handy if your opponent is using a multicolored deck, I know it's pretty much unheard of nowadays. ;)

Brave the Elements only does it better if all your creatures are white.

What is the point? The +0/+2 becomes irrelevant when you get protection from the color. And Brave the Elements does that a fluckton better.

What others said, and how do you plan to handle global -x/-x effect that protection cannot handle? And, as uncommon as it sounds, creatures like Doran, Morphling, Aquamoeba could all use some extra toughness.
