Weird that this is an elemental. It looks like an insect horror to me.

IMO, usefulness with each guild:

Dimir: I've never actually seen any Dimir players win by milling. They instead mill a bit, then cast something like Wight of Precinct Six, you kill a few, they get more, they swing and you're dead. I don't really think a 32/32 Consuming Aberration needs death touch. Even still, the smaller creatures that could use it (like Deathcult Rogue) have evasion, so Deathtouch is irrelevant.

Rakdos: Pretty good. Since you can't block anyways, you'll often attack. And now, it's not stupid to cast/attack with Rakdos Cacklers and other things lategame. Very Rakdos attitude, throwing these bears just to kill something. And if they don't block, hey, that's two damage.

Orzhov: It's nice. Orzhov's probably the slowest of the guilds, next to Selesnya, and this helps you control the board state. Doesn't your Tithe Drinker or Kingpin's Pet look a... (see all)

Makes Gelectrode more amazing, and makes Goblin Test Pilot more hilarious and wacky.

His 5 toughness makes him fairly hard to deal with in DGM limited formats. :)

I like that it requires just one colored mana, and can thus be put easily into multicolored decks.

Still, this guy is not that awesome. Sometimes his ability will buff creatures of yours, sometimes it won't. And ironcially, the more of these "maze" guys of different colors you have in your deck, the worse they get, because they don't buff each other. For example, put four of each color in your deck, and you have already 20 creatures in your deck, of which none buffs the others. The stats are also not that great.

In short: the thing is meh. Playable in limited, and some casual players will have fun in a mediocre multicolored deck, but that's it.

The best combo that comes to my mind right now would be to play it with deathbringer thoctar.
