I love Ornithopter. Always have.
Synergy with Ninjutsu, great to pump, great if you want to wall 1/1 flyers or Storm Crow.
It's free. I can't emphasize that enough.

The paperclip with wings, the best illustration there is. This should be the art they use for it in 2012. I hope it is in that set anyway, as it has a solid track record of appearing.

Are you sure? Was Sixth legal up until Mirrodin? I don't think so because Eighth came out before Mirrodin.
So was there a short gap between Eight and Mirrodin, when this was not allowed in standard?
