I think this could be an ok card in discard decks, but there are better cards to use than this. And it negates the attack D:

And you can put multiple copies of this card on the same creature, at minimal mana cost. This card is insanely powerful on a black-blue control deck. Turns your innocent looking creatures into nightmare fuel in no time, will force your opponent to use kill spells on your 
drops. You either counter their answer or throw them away before they can play it. If the opponent have lots of creature removal I will wait until my counters are ready. When people played dark ritual Hypnotic Specter, I played cloud sprite, turn 2 dark ritual and two of these. It usually seals the game from that point.
I've even enchanted this on opponent creatures as a emergency countermeasure to save my day. When I have to do so, my hand is either empty or holding useless cards anyway.

Although you'd never know it from looking at the 5th edition version, this card can only enchant creatures you control. Guess WotC decided to stick with original printing's effect rather than most-recent printing's, in this case.
