There's just so much you can do with this card. There are lots of ways to get creatures from the graveyard back into play, but this is the simplest and most elegant. Combined with cards like Buried Alive and Entomb, Zombify (and its ilk) can help get creatures with really high casting costs into play by turn 4.

I just prefer the option of pulling a creature from someone elses graveyard as well like with reanimate or rise from the grave. I always seem to draw this when there's something awesome in someone elses graveyard.
