This can produce "infinite" mana. You just have to have something you can use at instant speed to use it on, such as Stroke of Genius, Staff of Domination, or Comet Storm. Have a Maze of Ith in play. Attack with the Elder. Now untap him with the Maze. Tap another land and float the mana. Using the Oracle text of Maze (not the printed text), the Elder is still in combat and attacking. Use the Elder's ability to untap that land and the Maze, and repeat the process as desired.

I like how he has his own combos, but if you are just using him once per turn, consider using Garruk Wildspeaker.

Oh god, turn your lands into creatures and you run the risks of boardwipe, but then combine that with this card and something like infinite reflection for shenanigans. :D (Last I checked, when you turn lands into creatures, those aren't tokens - they're still lands, but also are creatures, so it'd work)
Yes, there is faster perhaps (though it can get finished pretty fast with the right ramp) and better, but this is still pretty silly.
