Lil' Jace is pretty great with Consecrated Sphinx, among other things.

Can often read:
"Each player draws a card.
Draw 5 cards."
He's very unassuming and is silent card advantage; so may not even be attacked except by good players.

So I pulled this in a M11 (along with a holo Drowned Catacomb, sweet) and I traded a few things for my friend's JvC Jace. I might make a Standard Mill deck now.
I also remember when I was watching a duel. One of my friends was using a B/Bk deck of sorts, and Jaced himself. He sent his top 20 cards to his grave and finished with Mortal Combat. Fatality.

I like him better than Mind Sculptor. He's not as good, but I like him better anyway. I go out of my way to play him in my blue decks.

In Standard, Jace Beleren has a secret text box. It reads, "Vindicate target Jace, the Mind Sculptor."

You know if Jace the Mind Sculptor wasn't around, people would talk about this card being incredibly awesome.
And if you look back at the pre-JtMS days, he was seeing a good bit of play in blue decks.
