I played a game against a guy that was playing with an older version and remembered that they changed his creature type to Elf, but managed to forget that they also changed the text to read "Other elf creatures you control".
He didn't seem pleased that it was still within range of my burn spell, but you should really know what the cards in your deck do before playing it.
