I used to love this for some reason. Still like the flavour text, still baffled that it's uncommon. It'd pain me to rate it less than a 3, though I know it deserves much less.

Maybe I can explain why it's uncommon. ARTIFACT CREATURES ARE MORE EASILY SPLASHABLE AND THEREFORE, TO COMPENSATE FOR THAT, WEAKER AND COST MORE FOR WHAT THEY DO. It's basically an artifact Manta Riders.

When I first saw this card I seriously was sitting there trying to figure out what I was missing about this card. Why is this an uncommon? What's the secret greatness of this card? But then I realized. . . there's nothing great about this card at all. But hey, I guess they need that balance of great, good, decent and crummy cards. This one just happens to be the latter.

My friend gave me this card when I was about 7 years old. It was the coolest thing I've ever seen. It's still one of my favorite pieces of art in the entire game. I now run artifact decks whenever they're playable. This guy alone got me into magic and I'll never forget that.
