Essentially serves a similar purpose to Ant Queen in EDH: just works as an EXCELLENT mana sink.

life and limb, 2xcaged sun (or anything else that doubles land mana, or training grounds) and you have infinite 1/1 (or bigger) forests. maybe terra eternal, too.

man, now i realize thats a good idea! ill try to build this deck. ill write if it works.

i just found out sporemound/life and limb combo! yay!

Sadly this is not as infinite as it might sound. Even if all saprolings become forests, they are still creatures with summoning sickness, and won't even tap for mana. This needs more Fires of Yavimaya
