This card makes the game easier for you in the sense that you know what all your opponents are playing so you do not need to be scared. This card activates all the cards that say "name a card in an opponent's hand." The card only takes one blue mana to play in a color that draws a lot of cards (therefor this wouldn't necessarily waste a card slot for a card that would have been much better to draw). Also, there are a lot of cards that *** off all of your opponents, this card may not do that - because of the fact that each opponent likes to see each other's hands as well.

This is the essence of blue, and no blue deck is truly complete without it. Flavor text is best on this version.

The symbols in the art - is that real Chinese? And if so, what does it say?

I like the premise of this card. It is extremely blue in flavor, plus it is just 1 blue for an ability that not only lets you prepare for whatever your opponent has, but the card is also abuseable.

I see little reason to play a card as limited as Telepathy. The information you gather is not generally worth a card in your deck, considering there are alternatives that -- while they don't provide as much information -- give you a generous portion of it while maintaining card parity. I'd much rather use Peek or Gitaxian Probe if I absolutely had to look at the opponent's hand while playing mono-blue. If I had any idea of what my opponents were playing, I wouldn't even bother with the effect at all; simply play around the probability of a player having any given card. Math works in Magic just as well as it does in Poker.

EDH is the format for this card, because playing around probability of what's in your opponents hand is challenging in a singleton format. I put this in my Arcanis EDH, so I always know exactly what needs countering.
