I kind of like this. It's not really an equipment as it can affect any creature you control and its a colorless pump source and its a madness enabler.

One of the many victims of equipment. We've no shortage of colourless ways to pump creatures these days, so this is really only left to the niche of creature-based decks which can generate arbitrary amounts of mana and/or can take advantage of the random discard.

Random card is random... strange activation cost, strange name for what it does... yeah.
