That art is phenomenal. I mean, the look on that guy's face as his spell fizzles.
I always loved playing blue, and this card was always key. I remember I used to annoy the crap out of my friends, but I'd say "wah-waaaaah" when I played this, lol. Good times.

Much better than Timetwister.
Unlike Timetwister, which is the only member of the Power Nine that has the potential of benefiting your opponents more than it benefits you, Counterspell is a one-sided, extremely effective benefit for you.
It's a card of grace, elegance and efficiency.
It should be the true ninth member of the Power Nine.
Counterspell ftw.
