Had one of these back when this set was still pretty new, Scrye said it was worth something like $5-$10 so that's what I traded it as, I never thought it would be worth as much as it is now! I didn't think it was legal for any play then but seems to be now.(?)

well crucible of worlds would let you have a massive upper hand in getting your lands back, and if you have a large creature out already there isnt much they could do

@michaelv80: It's expensive because the Three Kingdoms set had a very limited english release, making all the cards in the set somewhat of a rarity. Sealed products from the set can fetch quite a price, and the set's silly horsemanship mechanic is essentially unblockable for the most part in legacy/vintage. This isn't the most expensive card in the set though, Imperial Seal fetches around 250-300 dollars.

Silly. Having 8 'Geddons in a deck. Just wish this wasn't as expensive as it is.

Why is this card $150 today?

I think it is so high priced because A) it's very rare and B) it's a second armageddon in EDH

I hope that they reprint a lot of these crazy hard cards to get for commander in some "Modern Commander" or something. Commander was supposed to be a more budget format but the staples are going up in price and many are more than $100, and almost all of the amazing essential staples are more than $10. It would give a chance for people to get a few of the three kingdom cards outside of the extremely expensive packs they are right now (although they would probably be the mythics in the set as to keep the price high enough so people wouldn't complain), and it would only be a couple cards like this, imperial recruiter, three visits, and some horsemanship, maybe the red take an extra turn.
