He's not flying in the art. He's caught mid-stride whilst running full speed.
HATERS GONNA HATE.

What disturbs me about this card is that it has a functional change in the oracle text, rather than just a clarity change. He has gone from anti-mill, anti discard, infinite Mongrel, Turbo Squee into something that while still good, is not the one card combo monster that makes the actual words printed on the card amazing.

No creatures from this set have flying, and horsemanship wouldn't really make sense. They should have made this the only flying creature in the set that would have been cool. I want one of these for my big creature collection but it probably won't happen unless they go down in price ouch.

I love that the ruling says "Even though Zodiac Dragon is a Dragon, it doesn't have flying." Because otherwise we'd assume that it was just a misprint, because clearly all dragons fly...?
Also, if you line these cards up in Chinese Zodiac order, starting with Snake, you get the following poem/story:
Thrice Xuande's ardent quest led to Nanyang,
Where Sleeping Dragon unveiled Han's partition:
‘First take Jingzhou, next the Riverlands;
On that rich region, base your own royal stand.'
Near death in Baidi, having reigned three years,
Bei sadly placed his son in Kongming's care.
By six offensives from the hills of Qi Kongming sought to change Han's destiny.
But the time of Han had run—could he Kongming not tell?—
That night his master star fell past the hills.
Jiang Wei alone still strove with might and main:
Nine times more he fought the north—in vain.
Zhong Hui and Deng Ai next led armies west:
And to the Cao, Han's hills and streams now passed.
Cao Pi, Cao Rui, Fang, Mao, and briefly, ... (see all)

it's selling at $200 because portal three kingdoms was never released in the US making these cards extremely hard to come by it's only at $200 dollars now because it's not nearly as useful as a black lotus it's just the rarest dragon on the face of the earth and I like alot of people who play this type of game (Fantasy RPG-ISH or RPG games) enjoy Dragons and see them as the ultimate power in whatever plane they happen to be on and they collect them. i have a dragon collection not merely limited to cards and i would love a Zodiac Dragon, would I pay $200 for it? no. would people with $200 to spare do it? probably, would someone with a lotus collection like a black lotus? yes. spend 2-3k on it? no. if they had 2-3K spare change? probably. i rest my case. Dragon Collected with large purses drive the price up and the 2-3 thousand people who have these still in any condition to sell name the price i respectfully end my argument, good day sir

Funny that it doesn't have flying even when it's flying in the art.

I could think of better things to do with $200 than buying a small piece of colored cardboard. Haven't you people ever heard of playing with proxies? Jeez. (For casual play, I mean. Who cares about tournaments anyways).
Zodiac Dragon is a pretty cool card though. The big brother of Firestorm Phoenix. But seriously, if you're gonna shell out 200 bucks for a game - and not an entire game, mind you, but a very small portion of a game - you might be a man with confused priorities.

It doesnt even have flying... When I think of a big fatty dragon, the first, VERY FIRST thing that comes to mind is flying. So... this thing is horrible, collecters may like it for the reasons already given... that's why its worth money, doesnt mean it's not horrible.

This card is selling at between 150-200$ and my question is why? Just how rare are these cards? if you search it on eBay, there are at liest a dozen of them for sale, and although it cannot be removed from the game or kept dead, it can be killed, and it costs high mana to cast. there are several cards from three kingdoms that are "big money" cards, for the price of this one, a person could get a time twister, and for the price of the imperial seal a person could buy a mox, which I would say is way more useful and is probably a better investment, Moxxen have proven thier value over time, what about these cards? now before someone jumps on here and says i am jelous becouse i don't have one or can't afford one, i do have this card, it is being graded right now, it got sent in with my Black lotus.
