If you compare him to Cave Tiger, the key difference is that Trained Cheetah's ability triggers even if it's blocked by something other than a creature...!

Of course their claws were flexed; cheetahs can't retract them.

Really needs to be +2/+2 to be worth it. Eather that or make the casting cost GG.
