And now we have Bruna, Light of Alabaster.
Sac all of her auras, attack, and get them right back. Neat.

I'm considering replacing this in my long-owned auratog deck with Kor Spiritdancer. Funny how I'm about to replace the card that the deck is built around and named after.

This has got to be one of my favorite flavor texts ever xD
That being said, it's not a terribly good card. I mean it does pretty good with Hatching Plans, and maybe Bridge from Below if by some strange twist of fate you accidentally played it or revived it and need it rekilled?

Indeed. With Rancor this becomes :+2/+2 and trample until end of turn, plus a +2/+0 boost on the last one. And then you have a Sigil of the Empty Throne and either a Femeref Enchantress or a Mesa Enchantress out.
...Time to make an enchantment deck.

Put it in a deck with Rancor, Argothian Enchantress, Femeref Enchantress, Nomad Mythmaker (just in case), Sigil of the Empty Throne and, Celestial Ancient. Pay one green mana, give Auratog +2/+2, draw 2 cards, give every creature you control a +1/+1 counter including Auratog, and summon a 4/4 Angel. And if you have a Doubling Season and you have insanity.
