I think he's a little undervalued here. As Mrredhatter showed, there are some great combos to be had with this guy. Auratog + Rancor is really powerful, especially when a Verduran Enchantress is in play.

Spring Cleaning with Isochron is the better choice when Enchanted Evening is involved, especially with library manipulation cards like Brainstorm and Halimar Depths.
But yes, interesting creature when used in the right deck.

I find him a useful atog. Not as convenient as sacrificing artifacts or discarding cards, but better then blowing up forests or , even worse, other atogs.

Perhaps my least favorite of the atogs. Enchantments are usually expensive and good- I'd rather not feed them for just +2/+2. At least it's cheap.

Are you nuts? Play this + Enchanted Evening and you have something that just stomps everyone. And then you can put an Isochron Scepter Imprinted with Disenchant and destroy every permanent your opponent controls, then attack with this and sac everything and win.

Really? Nobody here has mentioned Oblivion Ring or Journey to Nowhere? Or Parallax Tide/Parallax Wave? Or Dance of Many?
You can sacrifice them before their effects resolve to make their effects irreversible.
Auratog also works well to speed up Reality Acid, but I prefer speeding up Reality Acid with Aether Tradewinds.

funny with the new ordeals from Theros. Things like Ordeal of Purphoros don't specify that it has to be from counters, just "when this is sacrificed." Have your 'tog eat it for a free Lightning Bolt! Cool :D
