@ niceguygreensboro :
So, what does that have to do with Faceless Butcher?

This is Journey to Nowhere with legs, in black, before Oblivion Ring was even printed.

If I understand it correctly, if I Unsummon him in response to the first ability being triggered, wouldn't the second ability trigger and then the first ability? IE it would return nothing to the field and then exile the targeted creature?

Yes, if Faceless Butcher leaves the battlefield before its entry ability resolves, its leaves ability will trigger and resolve (returning nothing), then the entry ability will exile a target creature. You may then replay the Butcher to exile another (maybe pulling the same trick again?)
Vedalken Mastermind with a Butcher becomes 2BBUT: Exile target creature. Certainly a bit pricey compared to the likes of Unmake, but the reusability is probably worth it.

This is still probably one of my favorite creatures ever.

This was a whole lot better when lightning bolt was still out of print.

I love this card! Removal and a creature? It never actually bothered me if they killed this guy (you should actually almost always see that coming) as it takes the heat off my other creatures. At it's worst it's an Unsummon that made your opponent use one card (for removal).
