Every card in Time Spiral was a throwback to at least one previously printed card.
This card references Farrel's Zealot as well as Soltari Guerillas. During Tempest block, on the plane of Rath, the Vec were one of the tribes of corporeal beings waging a rebellion against the Phyrexian dictator, Volrath. When the entire plane was overlaid onto Dominaria during Planeshift, all the corporeal tribes were forced into a shadowy aether-world, demonstrated by the Vec, Kor, and Dal all having shadow in Time Spiral block.

Uhm. Wow. This guy deserves a BIT of a higher rating than it has now. O.o
This card is SOLID in white. The only types of cards they have that ping rely on hitting attacking or blocking creatures... Except this guy, who has great evasion, and deals his redirect damage even before first strike. This is good in white beat down if it relies on creatures. It deals direct damage to any enemy creatures your opponent controls, and they can't protect important little guys by not attacking or blocking with them (as they can with other white cards). NO-ONE IS SAFE!
Strangly, this card has aged well. Since shadow isn't very common anymore, these guys will likely always go unblocked, and give you a way to block enemy shadow creatures. And if your opponent manages to block your Zealot...?
One last thing before I finally go away; I love the flavor with the art. It's really cool how you can see that he is in ... (see all)

Uh... why is this rated so low...
I use 4 of these in my rebel deck because shadow is just disgusting when combined with Mirror Entity. Plus in an emergency you could just ping a 1 toughness creature to death, or kill one if you equip the Zealot with Basilisk Collar.
Don't underestimate shadow, especially when you're dealing with rebels + Mirror Entity. (You can search for Mirror Entity using any of the rebel searchers if it hasn't become clear yet... Blightspeaker and Amrou Scout for example.)

Restrictive, but close to a white Tim.

With one more R, we get Soltari guerrillas.

I usually pair this with Quietus Spike because it gives you more of a choice

Sir, your dart has breached the sound barrier.
It's epic when evasion abilities get really old and almost no-one uses them anymore, because then those that do always get through. Shadow is going that direction, whereas Horsemanship basically equals unblockable nowadays.

It's almost like a white version of Prodigal Pyromancer.

I think this creature is paying homage to old Javelin creatures white had with the same ability.
