Bottle of Suleiman is a high risk, high reward artifact. Coin-flipping is never a sure bet, and who wants to spend 5 mana on an ability that could possibly do 5 damage to you? Many players who used Bottle of Suleiman looked for ways to minimize the risk involved. Often they would use the Bottle with Reverse Polarity or Circle of Protection: Artifacts. Player's today can also use Krark's Thumb to turn the odds in their favor. Even by today's standards a 5/5 flying creature for 5 mana is pretty good. Add to that the fact that the mana can be more or less spread out over a few turns (4 mana to bring it out, 1 mana to activate) and the fact that the Djinn can be flashed into play make this a pretty formidable card. Of course, the Djinn IS an artifact creature. So while it can't be the target of Terror, it is very susceptible to Disenchant and Shatter.

Sadly, the Oracle text is revived so that you can't trigger ten activations of this by paying 10. This card is more fun in casual if you're allowed to take almost certain death but a very slight chance of putting an army of 5/5 fliers into play.

Agreed, Eppek_the_Goblin. Good analysis. The Bottle of Suleiman really has been an underrated card, I believe.
