Nearly every card in Time Spiral block was a throwback to at least one previously printed card.
This card references Orcish Cannoneers; Stumphobbler Thuj is likely a nod to Toothlicker Harj, a similar orcish captain quoted on that card as well as several others from Ice Age: Orcish Lumberjack, Orcish Farmer, Blood Frenzy, Tor Giant

Combos epically with Blood Hound!
No. Don't try this.

one of the cheapest "cantrip burns" that can be used as removal.
Anyways, usually better than Ember Shot.

Part of some odd experiment to see how bad a card can be before card advantage no longer matters? The only useless part of the Orcish Artillery is that they are reusable and can be combined with Lifelink... and even that is stretching it. This thing is just stupid awful.

Combo this with Personal Sanctuary.

I don't see why its so hated, I combo it in a Red/White Deck with Purity, it and the creature equivalents to it lead to massive life gain, upwards of 9 per turn.
