You think at just 1 damage per spell, this would definitely be safe to print? Wrong, Wizards!

Krark-clan Ironworks or Ashnod's Altar with a pair of Myr Retrievers makes an infinite spell loop that will make this card a winner.

Pretty cool feature of storm cards: they're pretty much immune to counterspells, since the counter can only target one copy of the spell.

"I think the biggest danger with this is your opponent responding to it with another Grapeshot."
-LordRandomness

Seeing as it's a sorcery, I'm inclined to disagree.

@ SereneChaos:

Not much. If you read the rules for Storm, the ability triggers when you cast the card with Storm. There's a big distinction between casting a spell and putting a copy of a spell onto the stack. Copies created by Pyromancer Ascension and Twincast will not trigger their Storms at all.

What you really want to do is Remand your Storm card, and then cast it again. Double Storm plus 2.

@Sarroth: Acutally, copies made from Pyromancer Ascension and Twincast are just put onto the stack, just like the copies from storm.

And on another note, Eye of the Storm (using rituals to fuel it out early) is probably the most fun (and most risky) way to win with this card :P

Great in storm decks, not so much anywhere else.

What happens if I Twincast this? Or have Pyromancer Ascension in play?

@ DarthParallax: you mean Brain Freeze? =D
Anyways, this card is an epic finisher. Hit an infinite combo, then zap everything and everyone. Because you can.

@ DarthParallax
There already is a miller: Brain Freeze.
And the thing is making splashy big storm things is that while they have the same effect with say 20 storm count they have a lower "lethality" requirement for storm. Grapeshot requires nineteen spells prior this turn. Lightning storm would only need six. That is less than half, making the cards fill entirely different roles. Lightning storm at six cmc or something would not have a dedicated deck, it would be a finisher when the spell count hits that magical number. Grapeshot.dec is a thing. Also, ignite memories is a pretty nice splash storm spell. It usually hits for fatal at 5+ storm count (as by turn five their weenies and lands are on the field). Not super reliable though, I take your point.
