Gets expensive really fast, but can indeed provide some good cover if you don't feel like playing many spells for a few turns.

I wish they'd made Braid of Fire a Snow permanent. That would have been a sick combo.

Lots of flavor, and really great idea to combo with cumulative upkeep.

And I agree, braid of fire as a snow permanent would have been awesome, and a very fair super-combo, I think. It couldn't win you the game, and it requires both cards and a you can't speed up braid of fire. Even so, I guess you COULD turn braid into a snow permanent. W/e, I still love Cover of Winter.

Also, you could use Rimefeather Owl to make Braid of Fire a snow permanent. Might work if you can cheat the owl into play early.
