I once accidentally milled a couple of these while my friend already had a token out, thus making the token stronger - not a game-deciding incident, but it was amusing nonetheless.

A card with cool flavor, but the result is you get a 2/2 wolf or a couple 3/3 wolves, then someone Bojuka Bogs you and you have 3 mana 1/1s.

Could be a little more interesting with Populate now, as the new wolf would be identical to the old ones.

I wish this was an instant. Would have made sense flavor-wise, and synergized nicely with the cumulative effect.
It curves similarly in power as others cards with an effect that stacks with itself like Accumulated Knowledge or Kindle:
- The first spell nets you a measly 2/2 for three mana.
- The second spell still leaves you with two Centaur Coursers (/Trained Armodons back then).
- The third spell nets you a 4/4 for three mana.
- The fourth spell gives you a 5/5.
Compared to Rune Snag in terms of power, they could have made this cost ![1](/Handlers/Image.ashx?size=small&name=1&type=symbol)
to make it equally interesting.
Maybe they were so cautious with the effect since the old tokens can grow, but that's also a risk in itself since they shrink down when Sound the Call gets exiled, as Kryptnyt said.
