If you play this, better be with the alt. cost, after all, there's Savage Beating (Entwined) for the same cost that adds the fun little bonus of double strike..

There's a lot of talk in these comments about discarding. Fury of the Horde has you exile cards as the alternate cost, not discarding them. I'm not sure if the commenters actually missed that or are misusing the term discard, but I've seen sillier mistakes than a player misusing a card because of some inaccurate they read online. By the way, this card would be ridiculously awesome if the alternate cost was discarding and not exiling, but as it reads it's merely a great card, not a ridiculously awesome one.

Cards like this are amazing with Wheel of Fate.

Develop your board position, you each draw, you have mana open with your 8 cards to blow their board up. Then you cast free spells as clean up.
