Amusing in EDH as most everyone runs non-basics, and with multiple opponents, this guy can get big for a 3 cmc.

I second it's usefulness in EDH games. Although he will die very quickly with only 3 toughness, which isn't that bad if you also have Kresh the Bloodbraided on the battlefield.

Decent in EDH/commander. Often gets quite big when you cast it late game (it easiliy gets over 10/3), but It dies quite easily, which is bad. I'd say it's a 3.5/5 in that format, which is good but not really that amusing unless your deck has some sinergy with it.

Could this be a Modern sleeper? We've seen:
shocks - Blood Crypt
Fetches - Misty Rainforest
utilities - Glimmervoid and Treetop Village and Moorland Haunt
Filters - Flooded Grove
Taplands - Glacial Fortress, Darkslick Shores and Rakdos Guildgate
And montrosities - Cavern of Souls, Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, Inkmoth Nexus and Urza's Power Plant.
On that subject I'd like to see a cycle of lands for the core set planeswalkers like Garruk's Backwoods, Liliana's Chamber, Chandra's Ridge, Jaces Study and Gideon's Bastion :)

This really shouldve been given another run in gatecrash, it wouldve rounded out the nerfed gruul, and it sorta fits their new land mechs, like rubblehulk.
4/5 standard playable but not broken

I'm surprised that this doesn't have EDH stamped on it.
