The black version is arguably stronger then its White Shield Crusader counterpart. Its not dieing to Terror or Swords to Plowshares. Plus it has some strong tribal support in zombies.

Though, if your running the crusader verse a mono black deck, its going to be a nightmare to deal with. Sacrifice, discard, and sweepers are the only hope.
