@littlebeast The "if it's in play" clause is there so that when it enters the battlefield, you don't just bounce it in response to its ability triggering. If you could, the yeti would still deal its damage to the target creature (presumably killing it) but it would be in your hand, avoiding any damage back.

They need to errata the Yeti's ability so that it just states that it fights a creature.
Also; it's somewhat flavorful, but I just can't get into this guy. He fights a guy and unsummons himself- but it's so expensive! I don't see how a repeatable fighting Yeti for 2RR and a snow mana would be so bad. You're already paying out the nose for a lightning bolt with a body.

@Ritus
The bounce ability needs snow mana to be justified. Red is not a bounce color. By putting snow mana in the ability's cost, the out-of-color ability is justified by the flavor (yetis can hide in snow). And the sorcery limitation is also needed for the flavor of the ability to work.

The fight ability in its infant stages. I really do like that it has a 3/3 body for 4 mana. Coldsnap was a very interesting set, but it didnt have much support being a stand alone set. The best card was Adarkar Valkyrie I still think that the snow subtype was interesting but it didnt function very well outside of the block. The sorcery speed unsummon is a bit restrictive and costs too much. You are basically paying 7 mana to do this in the later game. At that point you dont even have the option of pinging the opponent for Direct damage.

Every time I see this card I wonder, why is that "if it's in play" clause there?
