Odd ability revision from the old Sorceress Queen days. Would letting a Serendib Sorcerer target itself really break the thing?
Flavor wise it's pretty cool, though. He's too stuffy and condescending to use his humbling ability on himself.

Awesome. I played the mono-blue Planar Chaos theme deck in a sealed deck tournament, the deck really needed more than one copy of him.

I love the effect and the art. "MWAHAHAHA TASTE MY BLUE LIGHTNING BOLTS!"

This artwork was originally commissioned for a Planeshifted blue Preacher, but playtesting found the card to be too powerful/unfun. (source: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtgcom/daily/af155)

Ridiculously fun in EDH. I love using it to mess with combat math after blockers have been declared, even if it's between two opponents. They always seem to forget he's there.

Decent pseudo-removal card on its own (pumps aside, it more or less removes a creature as a suitable attacker/blocker, and can switch as your opponent plays more creatures), but works best in conjunction with other cards. Like people have mentioned, combos well with Thaumaturgist, but that card itself isn't very good without help, whereas Serendib can stand up on its own.
It does adore Beguiler of Wills from Dark Ascension though. Easy, permanent mind control.

This is the timeshifted version of Sorceress Queen.
