@Omenchild, you're thinking he's only to divert removal, but you can hijack enemy benefits. Whats really great is it dosn't say instants and sorceries only, so you can hijack auras. that makes him cool

Is has to be one of the coolest madness creatures I've seen! Love him in my madness deck XD
I mean normally for five I wouldn't really give him a second look cause can't see going out of my way to throw in a five drop 3/3 but in a madness based deck, why not lol?

You can't actually change the target of Doom Blade to this guy, since Doom Blade can't target him in the first place. Muck Drubb's ability will resolve but have no effect.

Go for the Throat, however...

i swing with my creature and cast Giant Growth. I flash my Drubb and block your creature with my 6/6.

I Doom Blade your Wild Mongrel. I flash my Drubb and doom blade targets him now, illegal target, i keep both of them. (of corse you could just discard any other card and make mongrel black, but this is more fun)

I cast Eldrazi Consc.ription on my Aura Gnarlid. I flash my Drubb and I get a 13/13 Anialator.

The uses are plentiful and very helpful, and if they never show up in the deck your playing, you still get a 3/3 for 3 and trigger what ever ability your discarded him to.

Cuz it is rarely useful. How often is this really that relevant? Madness usually isn't control or afraid of doom blade, so who cares? I've tried it in my mono-black madness and dash hopes is usually a better choice. Muck Drubb is just too condtional and hold-backy.
