Retrievable with Sun Titan, where Shriekmaw cannot be.

Comparing this with Shriekmaw: 1Black to destroy a creature is good; 2Black to destroy a creature and chump-block once is not bad!

Always handy back in the day, especially combined with a well-timed Unearth. It's still a very useful little utility card, a sorcery-speed Terror with a 1cc flying chump blocker attached.

Also works well with Skull Clamp and Grave Pact , not to mention any sac mechanisms like Attrition.
