If you don't like this guy, then you've never used him. Opponents learn very quickly to be afraid after the first time they lose half their life in one attack that they had no idea was coming. Against blue, the bluffing with these guys gets maddening.

@blindthrall I agree with this, definitely. Together with his smaller brothers (Viashino Sandstalker and Viashino Sandscout), this creature often exposed the weakness of sorcery-speed removal, and often acted as recurring damage spells, at the cost of being a defensive liability. Also, totally sick with Warstorm Surge, Pandemonium and other things that benefit from CiP abilities.

This card is a must have in Haste Decks in my opinion, bringing this guy out is like a kick up the backside for your opponent. I do have one question though... on its bro's (Viashino Sandstalker and Viashino Sandscout) they say return to hand only if the card is in play... on cutthroat it does not specify this... so could you add it to your hand even if it has been sent to the grave? .. its what i have been doing :P
