And I thought Shattering Pulse was amazing. How did I not know about this card? I own like 7 of them lol. This guy is freaking amazing. And thanks to things that give Hexproof or shroud, he's tough to get rid of, too!

Definitely a good card in any EDH deck running red. Artifacts seem to be the most used card type in the format (most of the EDH staples are artifacts, for example) so this guy is a must.

Definitely have a casual deck built around this, Shattering Pulse, Liquimetal Coating, Myr Landshaper, Gorilla Shaman, Prototype Portal, & Sculpting Steel. I turn your things into artifacts, take them, break them, & we all have a blast. The Shaman seems weak, but if I draw two Liquimetals or a landshaper or two, I can blow up two lands a turn for 1 mana apiece. If the deck gets on top, it stays on top.

In my book, this is the best anti-artifact card there is. Reusable artifact destruction is powerful enough, but to damage them as well? And to answer your question , klaff, yes you can target a Darksteel Colossus with this. I've done it, actually. It will deal 11 damage to the colossus' controller without killing the creature. Which is good, because that means next turn you can do it again.
