I still prefer my Icy Manipulator, this echo can really eat up an extra turn.

this card is just so good. Versatility like this almost never costs only one to active.

Back in the times ... this was one on the best card ever, and yet today we see it in T1 deck that rules. I thnik this is a little bit better than the Icy, ... at least for the art and the flavour text!

@Kryplixx: You must mean Icy Manipulator & Royal Assassin.

No good. Doesn't even tap planeswalkers or enchantments. ;-)

What you don't see is just how hard it was for Gix to prop his ring up like that so he might finally maneuver his finger into it, and his utterly heartwrenching frustration when it rolls off his hand and onto the floor.
Horrifying mecha-zombie hands might be great when tearing a Virgins heart out of their chest, not so great when doing your buttons, zipping your fly, and putting on jewelry in the morning.

@Stuflames
The thing is that your judgement of Gix's abilities is based way to much on real-life human standards. Being a Phyrexian (and one of the most powerful Phyrexians at that), he probably has manual dexterity prowess far, far greater than a real-life human will ever have. Also, being a Phyrexian, he probably doesn't really care about trivialities such as appearance. He wears this ring for practical purposes, since it actually does something useful.
