Greens answer to multiple fliers. Also, as g doesn't usually field many fliers it can potentially turn into a one-sided board wipe. A good utility card.

Green's answer to the Earthquake. This spell is, obviously, pretty powerful, and can wipe out a flying deck in a couple of seconds flat.

Team it with Stream of Life over a couple of turns and go with a game winning by running about 10 million mana through that baby.

An oddity of Magic. Green's Earthquake, wildly out of color utilizing direct damage and mass destruction, all at Uncommon. Flyers are normally more mana intensive to cast over their groundwalking brethren, so when they get wiped out by a hurricane, it's typically more damaging in a cost sense to the opponent than Earthquake, yet still, hurricane is UNCOMMON (until 6th edition). The only thing green about it is the targeting of flyers. Also, has a lower-case 'h' to start the word 'hurricane'. Also, same color as Channel.

Hurricane complements green's aggressive ground attack in so many ways. The most obvious is that it wipes out flyers, which green often has the most trouble with. But with green's ability to get a lead in the early game, with small, efficiently-costed creatures like Grizzly Bears and Elvish Archers, Hurricane often becomes an effective finisher. And while red has Mana Flare to pump out huge Earthquakes and Fireballs, green has Llanowar Elves, Wild Growth, Birds of Paradise, and Channel to pump up its Hurricanes. Be careful with the last two, however. The Birds will be doomed once the wind starts whipping, and you might be doomed too, considering that a Channel-fueled Hurricane will result in you taking loads of damage.
