I don't play black in my sliver deck, so I'm using Harmonic Sliver and Enchanted Evening as an alternative, but Necrotic Sliver is definitely not a bad card. Although it doesn't help your Slivers directly in combat, it does allow you to trade your weakest Slivers with your opponents' strongest permanents. Trading a Plated Sliver for an opponent's Emrakul is definitely worth the investment.

OK, not a Vindicate on a stick but in my opinion one of the best newer slivers from TimeSpiralBlock.

A 2/2 for 1WB, that can be sacrificed for a Vindicate, instantly. That's pretty decent.

Because in a sliver deck (that splashes black), you really would get to 7 plains. Thats like turn 9, if you count the 7 plains, Emeria, and then a swamp to play this, or more likely a forest to play that green sliver to make mana. At least maybe having 1 forest would let you play rampant growths, but sounds to slow still.

Instant speed Vindicate? Yes please!
Also, @Faildini: You can't regenerate and save sacrificing creatures. The only card that can really save you from sacrificing a card is Tajuru Preserver, and even then, it's only your opponent's spells and abilities. It wouldn't affect this card at all.

From one point of view, we just got an infinite amount of instant vindicates. :D
From the other, we lose a sliver. Which we don't particularly like, in a sliver deck. :/
Edit: Just rememberd we've got Sliver Queen. Silly me :P

Very good if one can somehow use hivestone in conjunction with a token generator.

Think outside the box for once. You don't need to have an army of slivers to make this good. Its a walking vindicate for god's sake, isn't that enough?
Great sliver because it doesn't need other creatures to be good, just put it in an aggressive white/black deck and blow up anything that will cause you a problem.

@hairlessthoctar: The Mask of Pain was not the symbol of Phyrexia, just the symbol of Yawgmoth. It doesn't appear anywhere in Scars block. Its presence in this art isn't foreshadowing. It's a callback to Invasion block, specifically Apocalypse, when Vindicate was first printed (check the expansion symbol).
