It's a scry stapled to an undercosted creature that swings for 3 the following turn.
I frankly have no idea how you guys hate this card so much.

Okay guys... cut him some slack..
1. It's common so expecting it to be a 6/6 for {3} or any of the other things is just ridiculous.
2. If you need a land next turn he can make sure that happens, if you really need that top card or need to dig deeper (at a gamble) he dies...
3. He can trigger enters the battlefield effects, such as Carnival of Souls (not exactly groundbreaking but still in {B} )
4. He can trigger graveyard effects for {2}{b}, such as Grave Pact
5. Relevent creature type - Zombie
6. It's a 3/3 for {3} at common, with a unique ability, take it or leave it.

This isn't terrible, and was actually pretty good costing back in Future Sight. It's a perfectly good 3/3 for 3 mana as long as it survives, and it's good topdecking even if it doesn't. I don't no why you guys are hatin.

Warpath Ghoul has less versatility. Even if this thing gets killed by what you flip over, it's still a body in your 'yard and some topdeck manipulation. And. . . black kind of has cheap ways to recur its goofy guys. I'd play it in limited; 1/3 of the time, it's just going to see a land anyway.

Although this card is terrible without any possible argument otherwise. It was from future sight and I may be incorrect but wasn't the point of future sight to give us an idea as to where they were heading and things they were gonna try out? The mechanic is decent, the obvious issue applys that this should link to creatures like the eldrazi to even out a high power/toughness on a creature with low mana cost. The way they worked death's shadow is a good example as to how this mechanic could've been utilized. But this card still sucks horrifically

Three mana for a 3/3 isn't that good anymore. Also it has the chance of killing itself depending on the scry. It's like it comes out and plays russian roulette as its ability. >.>
